I believe Derek cheats or does something to stiles and he leaves. He is asked to come back years later as Derek has amnesia and I think he does not remember that they broke up. He is convinced with maybe tuition or something to come back. He does so. It has a happy ending.. I think its AU No Hale Fire... It was not short....Thanks in advance ( Read more... )

I'm not shure this is the story your looking for (I haven't read the story (yet)), but the summary sounds somewhat similar and is tagged with "Amnesiac Derek". I skimmed the beginning and Stiles is forced to comply by Marcus Hale (Derek's father?) who payed the tuition for Stiles and is threatening to revoke it.
