I kept thinking while half-watching "I think i'm gonna stop with True Blood?" It would be no great loss.
Hate being that person, but, imagine if the writers had at least kept the cliff notes of the books? All that blood bond stuff? That was really cool back in first couple of books.
Such wasted opportunities.
Em, have you watched The Walking Dead? I just marathoned it. Thought it was pretty suspenseful and cool.
With Russell's on the horizon I can't quit yet, but damn, when the camp starts boring you, it's not a good sign.
I'm still pissed they killed Sophie Anne off and we'll never get book 7. I hate how they've ignored most of the significant Eric/Sookie stuff. That was such fun to read. And... I don't really like what they're doing with Eric and Pam. I mean, I appreciate that they're getting an arc, and it's very touching and sad, but I would be happy for them to stay the way they were in the books.
Funny you should bring that up. I was hooked on season 1, and I've been debating with myself whether to buy season 2.
It's all a bit wangsty this season. You're right about the authority stuff, efffff am I sick of the same scenes over and over. And it was predictable that it would be the child vampire that got staked.
At this point, I am more mad than I have been in any other season that they haven't stuck closer to the books.
I think that the Pam and Tara storyline has a lot of potential. Not that that means it will live up to it, though. I love Pam, and I really felt for her during her scenes with Eric, but I agree with you-- Pam's pain was far more visible than Eric's. Which is such a shame, because their bond has been one of the best things about the show.
As much as I love seeing Noel Crane on my screen again (I still associate Scott Foley with Felicity), that whole arc seems out of place. It concerns a very serious matter, and I don't know that they True Blood universe, such as it is, is really the place to explore something like that.
And dude, I want to see Russell already! I was so excited about this season and yet they show some strange stripper fairy haven instead? What?
However, they annoying boy in the Authority is gone, so I suppose that's something.
