So, I gotta say that the maple fest idea ended up being a complete success.  I was a little perturbed when I realized that it was falling right in the middle of my mom's visit, and finals/papers season (which seemed to prevent most people from coming), but we had a fun little group of people come out, and had a great time.  The drive was beautiful

Thanks! I appreciate it... I'm sorry about not being able to join your wedding, but I hope it is beautiful! An old friend of mine from back home is getting married the same month, and flying down is burning my travel budget for the spring :(

Totally understandable... West Palm's not exactly the cheapest place to fly into, so I know the feeling. :) The wedding should be interesting - we're not knowing quite what all to expect since my mom's been doing most of the planning, and she's been stubborn as hell with trying to incorporate all the Finnish cultural stuff into it, so we'll see. XD Seriously though, it should be a fun time... our reception venue is huge, the DJ's cool, and the food is looking to be quite tasty. Though honestly, I'm looking forward mostly to the vacation afterward. :)

You live like a half a mile away and you haven't been over to our place yet! You should come for dinner and drinks or something sometime soon, maybe this weekend when you're not busy with birthday festivities... or we should go hang out on the Strip since it's starting to be so pretty out. I could go for some Wholey's and/or Fudgey Wudgey. :d~

plans were completely changed because of a family emergency of Andrea's... instead I'm just going to grab burgers out with a couple friends of mine from lab. I am sorry I couldn't get back to you earlier, though you are more than welcome to join us this weekend :)

Thanks! I'm sorry you guys didn't come to the festival yesterday... I think you would have enjoyed it. However, I'm hoping to pull something together this weekend that I would love for you two to attend. I am not sure what yet. But there will likely be drinking and music.
