mmm... pancakes
So, I gotta say that the maple fest idea ended up being a complete success. I was a little perturbed when I realized that it was falling right in the middle of my mom's visit, and finals/papers season (which seemed to prevent most people from coming), but we had a fun little group of people come out, and had a great time. The drive was beautiful and refreshing... I really love backcountry pennsylvania, and we spent an hour winding our way through farms and the laurel highlands. The pancakes were delicious, and the fest was big enough to be entertaining yet small enough to be quirky and endearing. Tara should hopefully get some pictures up soon... I think we took some good ones.
So I'm turning 29 today, but since it's a monday, I doubt anybody really wants to do anything tonight... me and andrea are probably going to grab mexican food in monroeville later tonight if anybody wants to come, but I think the bulk of the intended festivities are likely going to be this weekend. I would like to have some kinda dinner on friday with people, and something afterward.... so if you are interested in joining, make some room on your calendars! I'll talk with some friends to work out the best plan of action, and then get a hold of people.
