So in the past four days I have:

• attended roughly 18 hours of conference technical seminars
• attended another 6 hours of poster sessions
• gotten up at 6:30 every morning
• gotten home to the hotel at 12 midnight every night
• was at the conference yesterday from 7AM till 5PM, left directly to the airport, arrived home at midnight, got up at 6:30, went to

I do not believe that these rules strictly apply to the ladies. Unless the unspoken segment of this list is that men should observe a generally more stringent rule of foot-baring as men generally do not take the grooming of their feet very seriously.

true... I totally agree with your point. Though, honestly, with men it hasn't been much of a problem... guys just really aren't into the whole walking in non-grass or beach locations barefoot thing. We tend to wear socks a lot more often than girls do... maybe that has something to do with it.

And thanks! I might get myself one of those tweed jackets with the elbow patches to congratulate myself.
