Tho I gotta say this..... ladies.....
Places where it is cute to walk around barefoot:
a lawn party
a grassy area on campus
in the rain to keep your nice shoes from getting ruined
a private party at your or a friend's place (if you don't have ugly feet)
Places where it is inappropriate to walk around barefoot:
the subway
anyplace where people regularly spit, drive, ash on the ground, or walk pets
nearly any place of business
academic poster sessions
way to fuck up some random future interview!
- attended roughly 18 hours of conference technical seminars
- attended another 6 hours of poster sessions
- gotten up at 6:30 every morning
- gotten home to the hotel at 12 midnight every night
- was at the conference yesterday from 7AM till 5PM, left directly to the airport, arrived home at midnight, got up at 6:30, went to campus, and immediately took a two hour neural synaptic plasticity final for my physiology class
