Woot! I accomplished STUFF today!

Aug 21, 2008 21:10

Finally got out to the studio this morning. It's only the second time I've 'played glass' in almost a month. Gah. I so needed to get out there. I'm not even entirely sure why I wasn't getting out there, I just wasn't. Mostly sitting around the house wasting time. Literally. Just playing video games, checking email, reading books, watching movies. ( Read more... )

Yah, the only 'boo' part about it is that those beads you totally fell in love with, the organic ones with the clear spots? I can't find the rods I need to make more. They're probably 'somewhere safe', but wherever that place is today, it's not out in my studio. I was going to make a set yesterday and I failed my search roll.

I totally, totally forgot to reply to you about the swimming. The schedule is not great for me, BUT I have this friend named Barb (aka trollbabe) who would be the perfect partner for you. She is the mom of twin boys who are very similar in age to snakewyfe's girls (they've gotten together a few times), but they're going off to preschool FINALLY and she will have a little free time. She is a larger gal, she is a geek, she is very friendly, and she lives fairly close by in the Todd Drive/Arbor Hills area. So if you would like me to get you guys in touch, I promise to be much better than I was in replying to you :P

Not a problem. Like I said above, I've pretty much just been staring into space for the last month anyway.

Please hook us up. The more incentive I have to get myself moving, the better. I'm hoping to swim 2-4 times a week. Tues-Thurs I need to be at work at 3:00, Fridays at 2:00, and Kittelson is just five minutes from work for me. So sometime before that for swimming would be great. Their swim hours change in September, but when I called a week ago, whoever I spoke with indicated that they're pretty much available for lap swimming from late morning until about 3:00 every day, they just don't always advertise it. The monthly swim thing is for one month starting the day you pay them, rather than expiring on the first of every month, which is also nice. No membership fees or anything outside of the $25.

Yeah, the girls at Room totally went nutso over my necklace when I stopped in there about two weeks ago. I told one girl what your website was and said that she should be able to find your email address on there. Glad to hear that they got in touch with you!

And yay for being productive! I have times like that too - for a few days straight I just feel like being lazy. Watch TV, play games, maybe read a little bit. I'll look outside and think, "It looks nice out there. I should go for a walk." And then I look back at the TV and stay on my ass, lol. But it inevitably passes, and then I clean the whole house top to bottom in one day while chastising myself for being so lazy and letting the chores pile up in the first place. People are weird. ;-P

Yah. Mine took me the better part of the month to shake off tho. But now... I have a LIST. So off I go to accomplish the things on it. Thanks for the referral, hon. If they end up buying from me, you get a finder's fee in the form of either shinies or truffles. :)
