100Drabbles for Girl Genius
I decided to start with the first one. This is what I ended up with.

' Ve need zum volunteers,' the Generals said.
So we volunteered.
It was hard, harder than anything else we've ever had to do. We had to leave the others behind. We weren’t with our units anymore. There was no telling who we would be paired up with.
I left my soldiers in the capable hands of my second officer. I will miss them.
‘Oy, Maxim. Dis iz who ve iz sendink hyu vith.’
Infantry and a scout. Fun. My new brothers. We’re all a little grim. But I’m still the most handsome.
‘Und dis iz Jenka. Hyu report to her now.’
Ooh.
Pretty.
Maybe this won’t be so bad after all.

Also, I know that a drabble is exactly 100 words in length but I've decided that 'Screw the pedants' to be a choice sentence for today. I haven't written creatively since high school. So there.
