2009 Year In Review

1) Was 2009 a good year for you? All in all; yes. I'm doing work that is very draining for me, but its given me a lot of financial freedom and allowed me to take a trip to Korea, buy a new car, and continue providing for my self and my family.

2) What was your favorite moment of the year? Easily, my favorite moment was cleaning the farm and clearing an old fence row with the help of a front-end loader (Picture here).

3) What was your least favorite moment of the year? Taking the twelve hour plane ride to Tokyo.

4) Where were you when 2009 began? According to my old post, I was with Dave, Val, and my folks at their place.

5) Who were you with? See above.

6) Where will you be when 2009 ends/ended? Sitting at Shanty Creek, drinking beer with Val and her friends.

7) Who will you be with when 2009 ends/ended? Two Stephanies, Nick, Val, and Sarah. Wish you were here Dave.

8) Did you keep your new years resolution of 2009? I was moderately successful. I have been able to keep my pickup alive and running the entire year, but was not able to purchase a house (though I came damn close).

10) Did you fall in love in 2009? I did not. I have been happily loved already.

13) Are you still in love with them? ...

14) Do you regret it? ...

15) Did you breakup with anyone in 2009? Nope, not since '06.

16) Did you make any new friends in 2009? Not really; only work friends and acquaintances.

17) Who are your favorite new friends? ...

18) What was your favorite month of 2009? August was the most active month for me.

19) Did you travel outside of the US in 2009? Yes! Second year in a row to make an international journey. This year I made the trek to Busan, South Korea to visit Jon.

20) How many different states did you travel to in 2009? Didn't do much national traveling this year. Only really went to Chicago, IL, and MSP Airport.

21) Did you lose anybody close to you in 2009? Surprisingly, not this year. I'm expecting it for 2010.

22) Did you miss anybody in the past year? There are quite a few people I haven't seen enough of this year. Mostly Jamieson, Jon, and the others from my clan.

23) What was your favorite movie that you saw in 2009? Up. It was just an emotionally epic movie.

24) What was your favorite song from 2009? "I Still Like Bologna" -Alan Jackson

25) What was your favorite record from 2009? I don't think I purchased any music this year.

26) How many concerts did you see in 2009? None.

27) Did you have a favorite concert in 2009?

28) Did you drink a lot of alcohol in 2009? Not really. I have spurts where I drink heavily, then lay off for months.

29) Did you do a lot of drugs in 2009? Val and I are trying to avoid putting drugs and chemicals in our bodies. So, like, none.

30) How many people did you sleep with in 2009? (Still weird to say, but) One.

31) Did you do anything you are ashamed of this year? I definitely should have allowed that old lady to take my seat on the subway, but I didnt know the Korean for "take this, please".

33) What was the worst lie someone told you in 2009? I wouldn't have known if someone had lied to me.

34) Did you treat somebody badly in 2009? (My default answer) Probably

35) Did somebody treat you badly in 2009? None

36) How much money did you spend in 2009? I don't have the exact figure yet for this year, but I'm guessing its around 25k.

37) What was your proudest moment of 2009? Getting a great deal on a vehicle, going to and returning from an Asian country.

38) What was your most embarrassing moment of 2009? That incident on the subway in Korea.

39) If you could go back in time to any moment of 2009 and change something, what would it be? The subway thing again. That was just stupid.

40) What are your plans for 2010? Organizing my life and developing my idea of an intentional community.
