At some point during the Doctor's over-angsting in Gridlock, it occurred to me that I really wanted him and Mal to get all emo and drunk together. Barring that, someone really needs to find a way to get him Rose back to cuddle with. Aw, drunk Mal and Ten. :-D

Mal and the Doctor go so wonderfully well together. They've both lost wars and home planets and it's sort of just them and their ship. Even if the Doctor wasn't drunk I can see him talking about Rose to Mal because Mal's someone who would understand loss.

I would have loved to see Mal and the Doctor get into a bar fight on U-Day. Especially since they're both kind of tipsy.

Yes, I spend more time than I should comparing and contrasting. And for all their similarities, they're so *different* too, you know? I shudder to think of the Doctor in a Captain/paternal role like Mal.

Have I mentioned how glad I am that they're actually *dealing* with the Doctor's loss this season instead of pretending that Rose never existed? Because, yeah. He's been downright wordy about Rose, really. And I think Mal would get it, even if he didn't really get it.

Dude, this is just ... DUDE. THIS IS THE GREATEST FUCKING THING I HAVE EVER SEEN. I lost the ability to speak about 1/5 of the way in, so I will really be quite unable to tell you ALL of the things I loved about it now, but OH MY GOD, YOU ARE BRILLIANT. I AM SO OBSESSED WITH YOU. THIS IS FANTASTIC.

I love it when crossovers between our two favorite things are so easy.

No, but really, I write these things, and I seriously do wonder if I'm the only person in the entire world who gets the same impulses. (Though OBVIOUSLY, I should have known better! Who WOULDN'T want to read a fic about Mal and Ten angsting together?)

Oh, that was beautiful and lovely and perfect... and the Doctor and Mal get along so interestingly and anything Firefly/Doctor Who seems to go so well together... just fantastic, really.

Oh, he so IS! I mean, I think the Doctor in general is a little OCD, but Ten strikes me as particularly OCD. I think it's the way he dresses. You just KNOW he takes extra time to fold and iron out his pin-stripes. *G*
