re: NetSoc. I'm of similar positon myself. I've had 3 jobs now and I wouldn't have gotten them without netsoc and the like. While in college I used to worry that I was spending too much time learning programming languages, or playing with unix. I used to worry that i should spend more time studying.

However it now looks like all the stuff i learned while in college was the best thing for my career,
