In other news, I accidentally got a 1500 on a practice GRE test this morning. I say "accidentally" because I guessed at probably a third of the math questions and somehow managed to score a 780

I believe it. I got a 730 on the math, and a 590 (fuckers) on the verbal. and a 5.5 on writing. the gre is actually pretty damned easy. one of the girls in my year of tutorial (for biochem, but forgive her) got an 800 on the math section. standardized testing makes me feel smart.
also: from my SA Staff meeting last night for halloween:
"You can't be walking around the green on halloween with a piece of pie in one hand and Bawls in the other. It's unprofessional."

Woo! I'm super-glad to hear that. And congrats on the awesome score. XD I asked Ross, a guy I work with, to tell me how hard it was, on a scale of 1 to kill-yourself-now, and he said it was pretty close to kill-yourself-now. I trust you more, though.

What's unprofessional about pie and Bawls? If companies served that instead of coffee and donuts at meetings I bet everyone would get a lot more stuff done. That, or they would spend the entire meeting going, "Here, taste my Bawls."

on a scale of one to kill-me-now, it's maybe a 2. it's no sweat whatsoever. you'll feel like you don't have the math down, but believe me, you will. the verbal is evil, but i've always been one of those people where if i don't know it, i just don't. no internal struggle accompanied. the words are fucking hard. you'll feel really good about writing. i did, and i'd wager you're much better at bs-ing by now than i am, and i'm pretty good.

Yeah, I noticed on the practice test that some of the analogies were completely what-the-fuck words to me. I kept trying to be Latin Girl and figure them out, but...yeah. Didn't work so well.

We are both BS queens, and we shall rule jointly over all the land. We'll have crowns, and maybe scepters for whacking our reluctant subjects on the head.
