Okay, the original Star Trek came out in the late sixties, ran for three seasons and spawned three spinoffs plus nine, or eleven or seventy-two movies, and reached cult status. Rebooting it made a certain amount of sense. Rebooting Batman... well, given where Batman had slid to, it certainly couldn't hurt.

But this?

Early April Fool? ::hopeful look::

Honestly, this idea sucks AND bites and is majorly dim-witted. Count me out; I'm happy with what we have and they can't top it or add usefully to it.

Leave it be.

Poor Joss. He sounds well ticked off.

Apparently they hope to put it in theatres by 2011. Failing that 2012. That doesn't fill me with hope that there is going to be much thought or care put into making it. Frankly, it sounds like it's intended purely as a cash cow.

I imagine I'm not the only one who wants to see this movie tank, purely on principle. And then watch the media scratch its head over why something so beloved couldn't pull an audience, and what is it with audiences today, and it must be video piracy.

*sigh*

I'll stop ranting now.

Video piracy ruins everything. Trufax. Did you hear about the sentence they handed down for the founders of Pirate Bay? I'm kind of afraid to... um... never mind. I never go there...
