i think to say auburn has/had a better defense is a little unfounded. look at the offense you had to face. or even better, look at the offensive line you had to face. you offense only had to work half the field for the first quarter. AND, what did auburn know alabama would do?? run darby. even with our shitty offensive line darby ran better than irons did.

Darby had 89 yards on 18 carries for an average of 'bout 5 yards per carry. Irons had 103 yards on 28 carries for an average of 3.7 yards per carry. Irons had a touchdown, was the first running back all season to go over 100 yards against Alabama's defense, and had his 6th consecutive 100 yard plus rushing game. Irons, despite barely seeing action in his first couple of games (he had one carry against GA Tech) is now the leading rusher in the SEC ( ... )

irons ran well because cox threw so well. bama had to fall back.

bama became a one dimensional team and darby made yards for himself. i'm going by this article that says he got 91 yards....http://www.rolltide.com/Football/13738.asp (not that big of a difference)

yes, a drive against a very tired defense. it happens when your offense sucks and can't stay on the field.

our offensive line is a joke. sorry but i credit a poor offensive line (and poor coaching) for those sacks more than i do your defensive front.. which is still a VERY VERY talented front.

oh, and that's one big stat. irons had about 11 yards more than darby on 10 more carries?! oh, and was that irons that got tackled inside auburn's inzone, which SHOULD mean 2 points for bama?

it doesn't matter. only thing that matters is the final score. auburn's was higher. congrats. you gonna be on the field with us on sunday?

You apparently have a bad html tag that's causing this post to be about three pages wide. It's fucking up my whole friends page. Side scrolling is bad.

Please fix?

First: War Eagle!

Second: Auburn made the best of overthing in the first quarter. Alabama's offensive is by far their weaker side of the ball, so to get good field position early and to continue to hold Alabama back made it look like an easy win.

It's a shame that a shaky first game and five missed field goals have kept Auburn from once again pursuing perfection. Even so, 23 of the last 25 isn't bad considering something like 8 or 9 of those wins were over top 10 teams. It's a good era under Tuberville.
