"M-Miss Frost!" he spluttered, a definite aura of fear beginning to surround him. Stryker of all people knew just what Emma was capable of, and he really didn't fancy being on the receiving end of it. "I didn't expect to - I mean, not that I wouldn't - what a surprise!"

"Well, naturally. They can't exactly have a surprise inquisition and let you know all the details." Truthfully, it was Emma's prodding that urged the heads of department to take a look at Stryker's spending. At the results his team were bringing forth and deficit in expenses rendered. When Emma threatened to pull out her own funding, well, things got done.
"Now, we're just wondering about these so called results," Emma took a seat, leaning forward and smirking that smirk of hers, blatantly reading each of Stryker's thoughts. "Care to enlighten us on just what those are?"

"Well, seeing as you were present for a large number of those results, I don't believe I should need to explain them to an intelligent woman such as yourself," he commented, determined not to let this harridan take control over his project - his team. "But for the benefit of others present, I shall now set forth a number of rewards which the Team X project has already reaped.
For one, we are in the process of rehabilitating several dangerous mutants and giving them purpose, as opposed to allowing them the luxury of using our civilised society as their own personal playground. Gentlemen, I urge you to turn to the brief which details the information on a certain John St Allerdyce, one Julio Richter, Victor Creed, James Logan, Remy LeBeau... need I go on?"
