Jack walked down the brig hall to the cell where El was being held. When he had gotten the message, all he could feel was surprised. Most, if not all the mutants tended to avoid the hunter, especially since he had proven himself most able to kill his prey. But he was curious as to why the young mutant had wanted to see him, and so he had gone. A quick glare sent the MPs scurrying, as they knew better than to disobey him by now. He opened the door of the cell, framed in the light streaming in from outside, one eyebrow raised.

"What do you want, mutie?"

*El was leaning heavily against the wall, looking down at her feet. She was actually surprised he'd shown up. El hadn't been expecting that.*

The girl looked gaunt and hollow faced, as if she hadn't slept properly for weeks. Jack leaned against the door frame, careful not to look her in the eye. He hadn't forgotten what she was capable of.

"Shoot. I'm not going anywhere."

*She looked at him, the fact that he refused to make eye contact not lost on her. After all, why would he? He knew what she could do.*
