[[Don't care what the posting order is! Just go!]]Talk about bad personal timing for a mission. Allison wrapped the parachute around and around itself, stuffing it in the backpack as quickly as she could. It was left near the clearing where the pick-up would be later, so if the people back at the base who dealt with the equipment felt like

His last one had been a colossal screw up. And now he'd just parachuted to the ground. Really, he was not loving this. Even if he had better trust in team mates this time around -since he didn't think any of them wanted him dead it was a good start.
He was still being petulant and quiet. Which was weird. But he just sort of dragged his feet along, waiting for whatever Logan told them they needed to do next.

Only, usually in action stories everyone wasn't in a bad mood. Oh, they were all wearing their 'This is Very Serious' mission faces (not that Kurt thought Logan had another face) but he knew Saint John well enough to tell that he was uncomfortable and he knew Alli well enough to tell that she was in a mood. Logan he didn't know at all but he thought that as their group leader, perhaps Alli should not be arguing with him--or vice versa. Of course he hadn't spoken up, but had been very glad when they got to a point where they could focus on the mission instead of each other.
He nodded to Alli's question even though it was offered to Logan and leaned into Saint John's shoulder for just a moment, giving him a quick flash of a smile.

Logan looked around his troops. Allison wouldn't have been his pick. Pyro, he didn't know that well, and Logan hoped the kid could hold his own in a fight. As for the last person - well... Logan didn't know what to make of him at all. So far, Kurt seemed more suited to host a children's show than to go into battle. Still, this was what Logan had to work with... and this would have to do. They could do it. With a bit of luck.
He sighed. OK, maybe a lot of luck.
"OK, here's what we do. We go in fast, and we go in silent. Anyone standing in our way won't be standing for long. You gotta do it, do it clean. And quiet." It was a coincidence that his eyes rested on Allison at that moment. Honestly ( ... )

The lab was about a mile off, and it was rumored to have guards positioned in the forest outside. She kept herself as alert as she could as her mind wandered. It was probably a bad idea that she was on a mission at all, but she was trying hard not to let it effect her performance on the team. She'd come to this team to make some kind of difference (though, what being trapped inside a compound in Russia was really accomplishing she'd yet to see) and she was determined to make it work.
With or without Manuel.
She focused ahead of her, keeping behind Logan as best she could with Pyro and Kurt close behind.

Bits and pieces of the men who had been soldiers surrounded him and dangled from the ceiling and the jagged pieces of metal and glass that lay around him from his chamber. His tentacles had retracted and he walked through the wreckage, pacing like a lion. He was waiting for more to come to their deaths.
There would always be more.
His gaze shifted to the door and he stared at it, ire filling him. They had made him into a far superior killing machine and now they would suffer for their foolishness. He felt no ire towards their experiments, no. He just wanted to kill.

Or maybe it did, if the other teams had done their jobs properly.
She spotted the door the needed to go through, the Cyrillic reading "Omega Chamber". "Here," Allison said in a quiet voice, peering through the small glass window in the door. It was old, and had long since lost it's translucency. Nerves fluttered in her stomach, and she glanced back at the team. "I can't see a damned thing in there, but it's quiet..."
Maybe a little too quiet.

Logan might get pissy if he started fidgeting with flame.
"Quiet like ghost ship quiet?" That really didn't bode well for them at all.

"Daylight is burning, friends."
But he said it in a whisper.
