Nodding, still smiling, she squinted up. "I'm Amanda. No, I haven't met many women at the camp. You're one of the first."

Smiling slightly, he wandered over as if it had been his general direction anyway, boots crunching in the snow to avoid startling her at all. "Did you get the license of the truck that hit you?"
A gentle tease, because honestly, she could've looked worse. Jane was starting to wonder if they'd be holding meetings for the drinks soon. 'The Effects of Alcohol the Morning After' or something like that.

"Oh no. No I didn't. I can barely remember what happened last night. There was poker. And vodka. Lots of vodka." she dropped the hand holding the snow, shaking her fingers out. Amanda turned her neck, cracking it with a wince.
"That's the last time I'm doing that for a while. At least until they have another game." She grinned.

"So long as you didn't learn your lesson," he grinned, "and didn't lose too much." He'd need to listen for the next one. Why not put a little normalcy back into his service. Although he doubted he'd go just as far on the booze.

She scooted over on the stump, patting it with her hand. "Have a seat? Looking up at the sun is making my head hurt." she grinned right back. "No, just some clothing, some cash." she teased. "Of course I didn't learn my lesson. I don't think I ever will."
