Amanda clutched her head, groaning as she walked outside into the blinding white snow. Maybe that wasn't such a great idea. She dug into her pocket and slipped her sunglasses on, glad that she'd packed a pair with her. She hadn't even realized that she had until she'd talked to the new recruit.
Amanda was fairly certain that she'd never quite felt this badly before. She'd drank entirely too much at the poker game, and she couldn't really remember what exactly had happened the night before. She remembered laughing and drinking. It had been a nice change. This? This was awful, though. Her head was pounding as she walked, though the cold was helping a little.
She debated drinking a few shots of vodka again, just to chase away the hangover. She knew that it worked, but she didn't have any liquor with her.
Sitting down on a rock, she reached down and picked up a handful of snow, pressing it to the back of her neck. She wouldn't remember this next time there was a poker game. This would teach her not to drink so much.
