There was the soft sound of a door closing and Sinister stepped out of the offices with a cool smile on his face. "Miss Frost. If it was money I were worried about I surely wouldn't be here, would you?" It was rhetorical.

Her eyebrow raised at his attitude, she crossed her arms over her chest. "No, I thought I'd stop by for idle chit-chat. I'm ever so taken with you."

Sinister was skilled with a scalpel in ways that Emma could never even begin to imagine.

The water turned off, Sinister grabbed a paper towel to dry his hands. "Please don't tell that to Victor," he said with a dry, sharp smile, "I enjoy my head firmly attached to my shoulder." Sinister threw the paper away and gestured to an exam table. "And I did. Please have a seat."

With a sigh, she followed his request, taking the seat again and waiting. "Well? Please don't be the type to draw this out," her tone was dry and absent. She was still hoping he'd tell her she had the flu.

"After all, I do still have things to continue doing." Not much, but enough to keep her out of the med lab for a while.
