The Snowball Fight of Epic Proportions

Oct 28, 2009 19:08

As soon as the day was fresh and the cloaker was sure that everyone was out of their quarters, Atticus set off to do his dirty work. It wasn't hard to get them all outside. But then again, that was just all part of the fun. He lured them out one by one in different time slots. All being fully cloaked and unseen of course. When he had to speak, he ( Read more... )

When Magma heard there was something going on outside, she was right out the door. Anything to get the hell out of the compound for at least a little while. She headed out into the snow, trudging around the side of the building. She heard voices, and before she could get around to see who was there, she felt something smack her ass.

Looking behind her, she saw Fred. When she glanced down at her ass, it was covered in snow. She looked back at Fred, giving him a devious smirk. "You're goin' down, Dukes." Her smirk spread into a grin, and she hunched down to build up a snowball quickly in her stinging-with-cold hands. She hucked it hard, then dove behind a berm of snow.

PAFF

Right in the kisser. Fred shook his head instinctively to get rid of the snow, but laughed all the same. It had been too long since the last time anyone was genuinely enjoying themselves on the team, let alone in Russia.

"I've been hit!' he cried out in false terror, and fell backwards into the snow.

Allison poked her head up from over her berm, laughing as Fred tipped backward into the snow. She quickly worked on forming a pile of snowballs behind her makeshift fort, then tucked them into her arm. She ran out, winging the snowballs at Fred's massive form, laughing as she went.

When she was out of ammunition, she ran to his side, slightly breathless from laughing. "We got a man down, people!"

Slowly getting covered in snow, Fred pretended to play possum just long enough to get Allison to come to a close proximity.

"Oh yeah?"

Grabbing a big hunk of wet snow, he tossed it right at the woman.

"Sucker!" he said with a guffaw.

Kat was cheating. She wasn't technically a target because she was remaining phased. Snow just flew right through her. She grinned widely as she solidified her hand long enough to form a snowball and chuck one in a random direction at a target.

Score!

Zero had just so happened to be walking through the courtyard to the weapons rig when Kat's snowball nailed him right in the back of the head.

He flinched and turned around to face her, half in shock, half in anger. "What the hell?"

Oops. Figured she'd get the guy who got pissed off. Feeling a tad bit awkward and more than a little devious, Kat grinned wide and waved with her fingers before she shrugged.

"All's fair?"

Alls fair? He was just walking by, minding his own business, and she pelted him in the head with a chunk of snow. What the hell was fair about that?

Zero said none of that of course but he was thinking it. That much was clear on his face. He wasn't quite sure how to react. But he wasn't the type to pick up some snow and throw it back like some sort of child. Oh no. He pulled out his gun and shot at the nearest heap by Kat, sparying her with an arsenal of snow.

Walking from the Med Bay to get something from her room, Hope noticed an odd mass exodus of team members outside. She frowned to herself, wondering what reason could get that many people outside.

Of course, curiosity got the better of her and she started to follow people outside, wondering what could possibly going on.

[ooc: Because she really can't resist her own curiosity. Honest.]

Hope is only out there in the open for a moment until she can feel something, or someone rather, put their hand on her shoulder.

"I would back as far away as I could if I were you...unless of course you enjoy getting a face full of snow."

"Good lord!" Hope just about jumped out of her skin, whipping around and putting a hand to her chest.

She put together the pieces rather quickly. "Atticus! What's going on?"

Atticus laughed before taking her hand and gently tugging her out of the way of fire.

"Shhh, you're going to blow my cover. And what's going on? That wonderful snowball fight we talked about is what's going on. Isn't it marvelous?"

Jason made his way outside curious about why Hope would want to see him out there. He was surprised when the snow hit him looking around to see which of the others might have thrown it at him. He scowled gathering up a handful of his own snow. Jason let it fly not really caring who it hit as long as it hit someone.

Martini had initially been attracted by the shiny object in the snow. Now, it appeared World War III had been started in snowball form. Fortunately, his abilities came in handy, allowing him to dodge most of the snowballs. Until he got hit in from the opposite direction. Turning, he saw Jason and smiled.

"Oh, it is on now."

Jason might have been grinning when his snowball smacked into Martini. He saw the man smile and grabbed more snow to make more ammo. He might not like being cold but actually being able to do something even if it was a snowball fight would help him work off some energy.

Nicky was surprised when the snow started to fly. He hadn't expected a snowball fight at all. He scooped up some snow of his own making a rough snowball. Nicky might not have had much experience with a snowball fight but he was going to really enjoy it. He spun around throwing the snowball at the closest target.

"Hey!"

John stared down at his shirt where the snowball had smacked him squarely in the chest. He had just about managed to save his hat from getting too wet in the snow by teleporting but he had thought he was on the home stretch, safe from any further snowballs.

"So kid you reckon you can beat me?"

John chuckled as he realised who had thrown it, he scooped up a matching snowball and lobbed it, watching as it flew through the air at its intended target.

The snowball hit Nicky smack in the back while he went to scoop up more snow. He shook his head giving John a smirk,"I know I can beat you!"

He tossed another snowball at him giving a laugh as it flew towards John. Nicky was learning quickly and his snowballs were getting a little better than his first few.

The kid was certainly improving with his snowballs, they were getting neater, staying together before impact and packed quite a punch. John thankfully ducked behind the tree as one impacted the trunk right by his face sending up a shower of snow.

He scooped up more snow and leant around to throw again but was caught off guard as Nicky threw another, it connected with his chest sending snow into his face. John merely laughed and threw his as he tried to brush off the quickly melting snow.

So much for trying to keep dry and out of trouble.

He used his hat as a decoy, tilting it around the tree trunk to make it look like he was peeking whilst at the same time hoping to throw a snowball from the other side.
