So I applied for a bartender job on Craigslist or wherever and the guy just emailed me back asking "do you have a facebook" (capitalization and punctuation his). I do have a Facebook, but I've used it like once and I guess I should fuck around with it before sending it off to the guy. I think it's about the pictures, but also, many potential employers use it to make sure they're not getting someone who will be a problem in the futre.

I have one just to have one, but I post rarely.

Depends on the bar. I work in an entertainment venue as a bartender, so looks are less important then in say a high class resturant or bar. Sometimes, experience can outweigh looks, but it really depends on how image concious the establishment is.

But to answer your question, most likely, yes, he wants pictures without actually asking for pictures.

Thats... weird. If you were going to be some sort of public face -- a DJ or something - then this question might be relevant other wise, I agree with everyone else.

I thought they were supposed to ferret the social networking stuff out (lol). My facebook would be disconcerting--I created it to play Farmville and I don't know any of my friends.
