Color me surprised! Before I watched Deadlocked last night, I was under the impression that I didn't like it very much. But as I was watching it this time around I was actually pretty taken with the story and kind of got a little misty eyed there at the end. Who knew? This is exactly why I love this project. Saul and Ellen have the most weird, sweet, messed up relationship ever. I love it and find it bizarre at the same time.

I will maintain until I'm blue in the face that Tyrol's vote in this episode is a plot device and not consistent with his character.

Yeah, he's definitely naming Liam after Bill. That's partly the reason Ellen brings it up to Caprica in their first confrontation. She's planting a seed. But also at the end when Tigh tells Adama that they were going to call him "Liam", Bill understands what that means. And it underscores one of the prevailing themes of the show as far as Tigh's concerned. He may love Ellen and he may love Caprica, but he doesn't love anyone as much as he loves Bill
