I love The Hub. I think it's probably my favourite episode of the whole series. It just has everything I love in it: a Laura-centric episode, tons of Laura/Baltar interaction and snark, comedic scenes, horrifying scenes, stuff that makes you think, D'Anna, a gorgeous space battle, amazing music, and then that completely adorable final scene ( ... )

#9 - I dunno why I love the cable plan so much, but I do. It's so reassuringly none technical, I guess. And means the humans and cylons have to work together and trust each other and all that.
#10 - I never noticed that, but it's true. And yeah, I can't imagine Leoben as a pilot.
#11 - I adore that scene so much. I couldn't stop giggling. It's just such a case of sibling rivalry, which is bizarre and awesome. I <3 Laura and Baltar bickering.
#12 - I love it too. And it just so perfectly sums up one of Baltar's biggest problems. He never thinks things through beyond "Will this make me look awesome?". I mean, supposing he succeeds here? He's sitting on a basestar, in the midst of this very delicate dance between humans and cylons, trying to work together for the very first time to overcome a problem which threatens both species, and there are all kinds of trust issues and political issues and one spark could set things off again. And there's Baltar in the middle trying to stir ( ... )

Also, yes. Watch Xena. The first two seasons are good fun and then the third season happens and it's like, "Frak. This show's pretty awesome."

Anyway, regarding number four and who visited Laura the last time she was dying, you might be interested in these deleted scenes. They were apparently only on the French DVD release, lol. And of course, there's always the question of how one regards deleted scenes ...

If only the American discs had the same scenes as the French disc. I'm so confused as to why they wouldn't put the same stuff on all the discs.

Glad you enjoyed seeing these. It does help to have international BSG fans as friends.

You know, that's a really interesting and valid point. I'd never thought of it that way. Good call!
I LOVE the little bits of humor scattered through this episode. I think Laura's "humanity died because I died? If you're my subconscious, I'm a little full of myself" line is still one of my favorites ever.
We need more D'Anna and Laura in the world of BSG. :-( I love their interactions so much.
Awwwww the reunion! So much love for that moment. On first viewing I was disappointed with how minimal it was, but I've come to see it as so perfect for them.

Think about it. The two meet up and despite their differences and stances as mortal enemies, they find common ground and become fast friends. They get into whacky hijinks around the settlement. Accidentally collapse the school tent. Fall into the waste water bin. Play practical jokes on the insurgents.
It'd be so great!
I think the reunion is great because it is so minimal. You're right- It's perfectly them. And, again, like Adama's "I can't live without her line", this time Laura just goes straight to it. She loves him, she tells him. A great moment.
