We're not sure which parts we'll do ourselves and which we'll just "point and pay" for... basically I think it'll come down to which things we decide we could easily do ourselves to cut corners.

That magazine that the picture is from is the Summer 2004 "Style Ideas" and I saw it still on news stands this past week. The cabinets are inspired by "piano keys" and was purchased through Home Depot:

glas front and raised-panel Villa Square cabinets in Toasted Almond with black accents from Thomasville cabinetry; handsome black cabinetry crown moulding and kickplates; Silestone countertops in Ebony Pearl; champagne-color Devonshire tiles from DalTile for the floor and backsplash.

Isn't it a great look? I believe the table/island was from Home Depot as well. :o)

I love your ideas - I think it's so cute how you wrote in marker on the pictures!!!

I'm drooling over that shower thing with all the water sprays!!! Where's that from?

Isn't that shower panel a dream? It's Amera by Grohe... supposedly really easy to integrate into any pre-existing shower. We shall see! ;o)

I didn't know you guys were going to build a home! How exciting! You can start up a whole file system with your ideas so that when it's time to build you and Chuck will be totally ready to put together your dream home. That is so exciting!!!

All the ideas you have are so gorgeous!!! We're just starting to look at condos to buy - I already can't wait to remodel even though I don't know what we're ending up with!!

The thought of remodeling is what has seemed to define much of my free time now. I'm obsessed (much as I was with wedding planning) with finding exactly the perfect ways to brighten our condo and make it look larger and feel more open. Combining our tastes is the tougher part!
