She'll be spending alot of time traveling b/w home and the hospital while baby is in NICU, so food and especially food she can take with her in a lunchbag might be useful. Individually-wrapped portions that can be easily microwaved, that kind of stuff. Also, if she decides to BF it will be frustrating to her to pump all the time and she might be discouraged, so supportive words (if she wants them) are the way to go. and teh reminder that any BM is great, even if it's only for a short time.

If you want to give her a gift, the preemie babies need a lot of skin-to-skin so a Mei Tai-esque wrap is really good for that.

Sending many prayers her way. I hope she and the baby are both okay!

Jess, the Mary Kay satin hands stuff is A-MAZING for helping chapped hands. They also (besides this unscented one) have a peach and apparently a vanilla sugar one right now.

Jess, how scary. Sending warm thoughts. Why do they think the baby may have DS? Did they do any testing earlier on?
