oooh fun! gorgeous furniture you picked out. i'm greeeeen with envy. and also loving the pheasant couch. well, loving the hideousness of it. not that i'd have it in my house, but it is hilarious. you understand. that's exactly the kind of thing my college roommate would have brought home from the thrift store. like the velour couch we had with mirrors on the arms. yeeeah.
anyway, i vote to get rid of the tile, if it's not too much trouble. (yeah right.) it just looks kinda 70sish.
The stock colors (which are the celadon green color and a beigey-brown color) are available really quickly I believe. The couch is super comfy and I recommend you go check it out. We went to the Macy's home store in Tukwila and they had lots of great options!
Glad to hear someone else loathes their loved ones crappy furniture. Why, oh why, can men not have fab furniture? Brad likes to say that he never wanted to spend the money on nice furniture because he wanted to wait until he was married since he knew his wife probably wouldn't like what he did. Well, he is right and I'm glad it means we get to mass purchase throughout the next year... but until then I'm surrounded by crap. Blah.
Hi! Saw your journal through Button's and I wanted to tell you I love that stripey chair you got! I love home decorating stuff. Mind if I follow along? Vanessa
I absolutely love your style. I think all your new purchases will look great in your house, especially the new couch. It looks so cozey! I do love that striped bathroom curtain that you have from pottery barn. I wish I would have bought one before they stopped selling them. The bathroom will look great with all the new changes.
Thanks! A little secret on the shower curtain? We'd registered for it and then stupid PB discontinued it without warning. So, I zoomed over to Ebay and quickly bid on a few! Luckily I snagged one along with two hand towels... :o)
Hi! I found you via Pipsqueak and completely related to your comment about throwing yourself into home decor to distract from the post-wedding letdown! I think I'm doing the same thing - and so I love reading about everyone's furniture purchases, etc. I love your style! I'm friending you so I can keep up to date :)
