humm

I'm feeling rather indifferent lately.  Nothing has instigated the humdrums in me, well nothing that I can pin point anyway.  My guess, after writing this, is that I feel no sense of urgency.  My Christmas shopping is done with the exception of mailing  a few things.  However....I have no Christmassy type decorations hung in my abode, no mistletoe ( Read more... )

Hoooo boy...sounds like Trina is still up to her same old stuff (and yes, I agree, deep down I think she means well). Funny how some of her behavior reminds me of Austin! Lol! That would be "self-centered to a ridiculously absurd level" and "completely at peace with the fact that they believe they are OWED every single solitary kind thing that is ever offerred to them or done for them" (I assume your parents are helping out with the trip....). I can only hope that Austin outgrows this behavior. Not much hope for Trine though...
You will have a fantastic time! I know what you mean about being the one running interference. I have filled those shoes on a few occaisions myself. Sometimes it sucks being the peace keeper. Wouldn't you just LOVE to be the obnoxious one for once? Lol! I have fantasies about being the one that gets to freak out and stamp my feet sometimes.
Sigh...I guess that's just not our place in this world.

Yes, Mom & Dad are giving us the flight and cruise as a christmas present and then we're paying for everything for the week in Orlando. And the reason that we're going on a cruise and to Orlando in teh first place is because they wanted to take Caelen to Disneyworld. I'd have been just as happy (probably happier considering cruising is not my first choice of vacation) to park my butt on a poolside chair at some all-inclusive resort.

I fear that I'm going to be so busy making sure that mom & dad are "good" that I'm going to miss out on fun with Alex and Mike - and then Mike and I will start fighting over the "why do you have to make peace" conversation. He's convinced that when she gets like that we just don't talk to her for months on end....sorry, that's not how my family works, and that's not how I tick!
