Alberich did not want to be here. Even if no one was here yet, he had a feeling that people would show up, and he did not want to be seen in his Whites. This island was obviously playing some cruel joke.

He found a corner near the punch bowl to try to hide in, leaning against the wall just enough to make people want to glance over him and forget that he was there.

Duo did notice him, though. It was hard for someone in almost all white to hide in a shadow. He grinned a little (which was probably lost behind the mask) and walked over.

"Hello there, good sir," he said, putting on his best imitation of a voice. "Are you enjoying the festivities?"

Alberich wasn't too happy about being found out, let alone by someone in a mask doing a rather bad type of accent. "I would rather somewhere else be. This type of thing..." he waved his hand in the general direction of the gym, at all the decorations, "Is not something I seek."

"So why come at all?" Duo asked, keeping the accent since no one called him on it, yet. "Have you been forced?"

Anew walked into the party, dressed in a old fashioned dress. She had seen it in the clothing store and had decided she wanted to wear it. Though a bit disappointed that Lyle wasn't on the island to go with her, she had found a date who had been nice enough to go with her. It didn't look like there were that many here yet.

(minus hat and mask)

Tieria had come on Anew's request. Knowing Ribbons might come, he didn't want Anew to be there alone anyway, so it wasn't a huge thing for him to go when she had asked.

"It seems we're early."

Anew had been a bit worried Ribbons would come as well, but she felt better with Tieria there.

"It does... but at least it isn't crowded." She smiled at Tieria. "Thank you for coming with me." It was nicer when there was someone to go with you.

It was definitely better that it wasn't crowded. He nodded a little.

"I don't mind so much." He didn't. He hadn't planned on going on his own, as it wasn't really his thing, but he didn't mind going with someone else.

Italy is definitely dressed for a party! Having decided to wear something that reminded him of home, he had talked Ruka into a costume that corresponded with his. He definitely wanted it to be a nice night. There were so few times here where he could dress up like this.

[ooc: please ignore the wig and the cane *lol*]

Ruka blinked at decorations. She was wearing the black and white carnival dress to match Veneziano's costume. She'd never seen such a display before, even at her wedding. She was clinging onto her date's arm. Eyes full of awe and amazement.

"Veneziano...?" She sounded more shy than usual.

At least the decorations were rather cute rather anything scary. Even Italy couldn't be scared by children's craft spiders. He smiled over at her and gave her a hug. "Yes, Ruka?"

"Wha... What is all of this...?" She couldn't help feeling overwhelmed. She'd never seen such things before. The ghosts were a mystery to her, as were the little houses. Everything was very strange. "What is that?" She pointed to a ghost napkin.

Neil stood by the snack table with a drink. He hadn't arrived that long ago. He was wearing something seemed to be a cross between an old style Mediterranean outfit and an Irish peasant outfit. Somehow it worked for him as odd as it might have looked initially.

Pluto came in not long after Neil did, wearing a belly dance outfit. The small gold anklets she wore had bells dangling from them, making sound as she moved through the gym. She chuckled at her lover's outfit, walking over to him to start off the evening. "You're looking different."

Neil could tell she was coming from across the room with those bells. It would be easy to find her tonight for sure. "Aren't I though. Best I could think of. We don't match very easily."

"I know we don't." She had to chuckle, especially since Neil's outfit was rather unique. She didn't intend on teasing him, but it did end up coming out that way after she thought for a moment. "You're too pale."

Patrick walked into the gym smiling ear to ear. He was over joyed to be wearing his newly acquired pirate costume, and really was hoping to have some fun tonight. The red head stopped in the doorway to the gym looking around admiring all that there was to see. He paused noticing the sticks across the room, then made his way over to them.

"A pirate, huh?" Minako giggled at Patrick, coming up next to him near the sticks. "Trying for one of the pinatas?" She was dressed up as a gold playboy bunny.

He didn't really approach the... well, let's face it - lucky idiot, but he watched him. Seriously, how was he still alive? He could have sworn they'd killed him about five times over.
