Ribbons was out earlier than usual. Walking nearby, he discovered her almost immediately. He stopped. She didn't appear to be aware of his presence just yet. That was good. He wasn't about to allow her a chance to run away again. He made his way towards Anew until he was directly behind her. If she didn't notice him by then, she would when he leaned down to grasp her shoulder.

Anew had been too lost in thought to hear Ribbons. She hadn't thought he would be up this early so she had let her guard down. She gasped when she felt someone grab her shoulder. Looking back, she saw the one person she had been hoping so much to avoid. "R-Ribbons..."

Ribbons stared down at her. He liked to fancy himself as always right, always in control. What he had learned, looking into Anew's mind, was a substantial blow to his ego. As it turned out, he'd been wrong about her all along. That was unacceptable.

"Anew Returner, where have you been?"

With all the GN Particles that had been around, Anew couldn't be sure how much Ribbons had seen of what her thoughts. That was part of her worry. The way he was staring down at her was rather unnerving.

"I just needed sometime to alone," she told him.
