Lauren made sure to scribble her name on the program. She did so without defacing anyone else's picture, though it was tempting. She mumbled good luck to several of her cast mates before disappearing behind the door Miss Pillsbury indicated would lead to a hallway. It would be a nice escape from the musical, which after Saturday's day long rehearsal was all Lauren really wanted. The musical was fun and everyone had a lot of talent, she just grew tired of the play. Lauren sat on the floor, knowing she had plenty time before she had to be on stage.
(OOC: Special thanks to Hugo for making an awesome program. It looks good :D)
As much as Rachel had rehearsed and rehearsed for this moment it was finally here. She was nervous and she had butterflies in her stomach swarming all around. Tonight was opening night and she was excited that all her parents were going to be there.
Pacing backstage she had on her first costume of the night. She had many costumes and so she had to time everything perfectly. Taking deep breathes she began to run everything in her head. Warming herself up she began to hum and sing a few bars to get her voice ready. She was ready for this, while she did all that she listened to Ms. Pillsbury.
Going over to the wall she began to sign the program for Mr. Shue. "Yes, I think that we should all sign it for him. We've worked so hard and its finally here. I want to say good luck to everyone." She was still nervous as she went and sat in a chair that was backstage.
Sam watched from the corner of the room, snickering.
''You know Rachel... it's said to be a bringer of misfortune to wish someone good luck before going on stage. I think you, of all people, knew that already... I found out through throughout... exploration of the contents of Jeff's library.''
He had to contain himself from laughing. It had more or less happened the following way: he and Jeff had been busy exploring each other's mouths, when, in their intensity, they had caused a bunch of books to fall to the floor. It is while they were cleaning up afterwards that Sam had noticed the one of theater traditions... It had been an interesting read.
''I think we'd be forced to throw you girls out of here for a while, so that you could go perform some sort of cleansing ritual... it involves salt, if I recall correctly... Luckily for you, I'm not really superstitious...''
He laughed as he made his way to the program, where he quickly scribbled his name. Jeff followed him soon afterwards.
Looking over she heard and saw Sam there almost to the point of laughing. "What's so funny?" She asked. Taking a drink from her glass of water.
"I may be just little bit superstitious but you know a good luck coming from me means that I'm supporting everyone that is in the show. Yes, I might have said it, but its because I didn't know what else to say to everyone when I'm nervous, this musical means everything to me." She sat down in the chair once again. "This is going to be my moment to shine before doing my audition at Julliard, I can't mess up and we probably all are because I said something so stupid." She shook her head.
"No need for that, I'll do it before the show starts, right now I just need to focus on warming up and then when we're almost ready I'll cleanse everything to make it right."
