Brittany had, not surprisingly, been left on her own for dinner. Her parents had a party to go to. She had decided to go to the diner. She walked in, and saw Lauren. She liked Lauren, thought she was a nice girl. "Hi, Lauren!" Brittany said loudly.

Lauren looked up from her book to see a familiar blonde who just called her name. Lauren smiled. She set her book aside.

"Hi Britt. What's going on?"

"Not much. I had to fend for myself for dinner, my parents went out." Brittany said. She was pretty hungry.

Sam opened the door to the Moondance Diner casually, holding it open for Jeff to follow him. It wasn't necessarily intended as chivalry, seeing as the other boy's hands were full of music sheets. Still, Sam couldn't help but smile internally at his own manners ( ... )
