You really are one of those people who really look good in hats :)

I am glad you were able to free the rat. They may not be my favourite animals, but I think it is cruel to trap them. Especially as, as you say, there are plenty of predators around to keep the numbers down anyway.

That's kind of you, thanks! I actually DON'T look good in a lot of hats haha, but that's why I didn't wear them! I had to find out which hats looked good by trying on a bunch. You'll notice I stick to rounded tops ("crowns") instead of the taller shape of a top hat, fedora, or pork pie hat. That's because those hats look awful on me. I've got a long rectangle face and the shape of a fedora or pork pie hat just makes my face look longer and more square.

That's why when a guest comes in we always encourage them to try on many types of hats. Some people (especially women) have been surprised to find how good they look in a fedora, or men who have always worn baseball caps get to discover that wearing a flat cap is a level up haha. But you can't know that until you try on a bunch of stuff.

Rats aren't my favorite either; rodents in general I view as prey animals or things to be used as bait for better things haha. But it's still a living thing, and nothing deserves to die a slow painful death like that.

I'm glad you were brave and helped the rat. You did a good deed.

Also - I like seeing you in your hats!

The risk to myself was very low in letting the rat go :)

Thanks! It's definitely the best part of the job haha
