"She never once discouraged me from music. She never once tried to bar my path. She never once suggested I try something “safer.”
"She supported my dream of becoming a professional musician with no reservations. And I have felt her love, and her unconditional support, every step of the way."
This is the question I often ask musicians.... like... how supportive were your parents when you decided to pursue music as a profession... and how many say their parents are supportive when it came to learning music (investing in instruments, classes, practice time, etc)... also spent years warning them how "hard" it was going to be and to have a backup plan.
It's anecdotal but the musicians who didn't have that extra fear instilled in them... most seem to have an additional confidence about their path (and their abilities!) than the ones who made the choice despite their parents' fears.
Yea some responses will not be timely from me, or you'll just get a "like" once in a while haha ^^;
Phipps isn't all that big...you could do the whole thing, even in peak season, in like two hours. But if they had a bigger variety of plants I'd also have spent more time, so maybe they do rotating exhibits.
There's also an actual botanical garden somewhere farther outside downtown, but it was too far to consider this time due to my schedule.
I'm lucky to have people wanting to interact with me on my birthday :) As an introvert (since you're one too you'll understand) my social battery runs dry SO very quickly...but I still feel grateful that people want to be in my company or send a few kind words my way. I'm relieved when it's over haha but it IS really nice!
Taking notes on the animes that you like, we'll probably have some similar interests. I've been seeing more and more about the Hazbin/Helluva Boss series so some algorithm must think I'll enjoy it. Never heard of Owl House and now I need to watch it. Currently I've been badgered into watching The Seven Deadly Sins, so maybe once I've ridden that horse into the ground.
If it's ok I'd probably just refer to you by your username here or on DW. Cannot trust myself to remember all of your other, uh, titles haha.
Will have to remember to document my thrifting more thoroughly for your sake (I see that you like thrifting/treasure hunting.) As part of traveling all over, one of the coolest things I get to so is visit thrift and antique stores all over! I don't often find things to actually BUY, but I do find a lot of interesting stuff!
