Iowa
So, June has not been fun for the state of Iowa. Despite being a born & raised Texan, nearly my entire extended family is in Iowa (with only a few exceptions). A/C repairmen are Gods!
So, our a/c has been out for three days. It started dying on Sunday afternoon and by Monday was a total loss. It was completely impossible to sleep in the house - even running constantly, the a/c is failing to keep the house below about 87 F (at night!). The Drowsy Chaperone
We celebrated mom's birthday with a 'girl's night out' kinda event. My grandmother got us theater tickets and treated us to dinner at Birraporetti's, which is a classic pre/post-theater dining location in downtown Houston. Good food and within walking distance of the show. We saw The Drowsy Chaperone at The Hobby Center, and it was terrific. ( Read more... ) -
Oops.
I keep meaning to post - unfortunately, I also keep forgetting.
Work has been exhausting - either intensely boring (giving various staff members WAY too much time to gossip, i hate working on an all-female unit sometimes) or completely INSANE. Our unit is NOT set up to do 9 or 10 deliveries a day - it is not a fun experience. There's a quiet power ( Read more... )
