Here's hoping transit strike goes out of control and they cancel school . . . if you needed a place to crash for Shabbat btw, there is always my house.
Ok, so I realized I didn't sign in when I posted. So the annoynmous post is now . . . nonymous. . . (I've been working on papers for the past three weeks, I'm allowed to use pseudowords.)
Excellent choice of pseudoword. I approve of your creative coinage.
I am wondering what happens if you take a transit strike and combine it with a snow storm... after all, the only reasons NYC has school when the rest of the region has a snow day is that we have such great public transportation - even in a snow storm. But if that transportation isn't running... well, I hope I smell a recipe for a snow day.
Thank you for the Shabbat offer, by the way. I think I'd rather not worry about shlepping luggage without subways, though... plus, I've already told people I am coming to their meals.
Oooh report cards. I have already had at least one person assure me that she does *not* grade exams by throwing them down staircase and see which ones land closer to the top.

I hope you are able to get to school...
