I keep thinking it's the best thing in the world when I have the ability to surf the web at work... then I realize I only browse maybe 4 websites; reddit, LJ, yahoo, and wikipedia. Outside of keeping up on my friends, reading wikipedia is the only amount of quality surfing I get in. The rest is mostly pop culture crap that really doesn't expand

I had an idea yesterday regarding you and females! You need to get a big, sweet dog. The kind of dogs that women fawn over. Like . . . a really sweet big dog that isn't scary at all (no toy dogs or pit bulls). Girls go crazy over that kind of stuff. You can go walking the dog in the park and talk to other girls with dogs.

Plus, you really seem like a dog person, too.

Something more like Golden Retriever (something with long hair that looks really pet-able), but a mutt to show that you care about the "underdogs".

We can't have a dog in this house. Also they are a huge commitment and you need to put a lot of time into being home to take care of them. You said yourself (in regard to your brother's ferret) that you shouldn't just get a pet to attract a mate. Maybe if you try expanding your social circle. Most dates occur from personal contact, and if you get out there to meet more people you have better odds.
