Moar horses

Bloody hell it's cold.

So last week wasn't as bad as I feared, though I was pretty exhausted. We spent Saturday afternoon/evening up at Tattersalls and got thoroughly rained upon, but we did get our swanky jackets and hats with our stallion's name on them, so we donned them all week so our mere presence was advertising.

Moar Horses! 2 in 1 horses (or just one horse in one horse). How many does that make now then... by April?

Weeeelllll. If all goes well, and the mares all have healthy live foals, by April 13th it'll be Cape Liberty+foal, Solemn Pledge+foal, Wootten Creek (who will hopefully be IN foal then, she's not currently), plus Kirsch+foal over in Ireland, but we only own half of her. So 3.5 mares, and 2.5 foals, for a total of 6 horses. Madness.

How many did you have at the start of this year? I feel like it was a lot less.

Oh, just Kirsch and Cape Liberty (and Evening Song in training). Kirsch and Cape Liberty were both in foal by the end of February, and we sold Evening Song in the summer. Bought Wootton Creek in October and Solemn Pledge last week. So technically we gained two horses but sold one, if you don't count all the unborn foals.
