Stressssssss

I complain about the heat in ONE post, and suddenly we have rain for a fortnight. FFS, gods of the weather. We were meant to be having a beach day this week with my team from work, but we're having to postpone. Messing with my schedule, yo, I am unimpressed.

(On the plus side, rain means this week's Grand Prix may not actually send me to sleep. ( Read more... )

Is the software SAP? I hate SAP.

As much as I understand it, it still feels weird that you need H&S to approve a trip to the beach. I mean you are grown adults. On the subject of which, I think we're all a bit rounder than we were in our 20's. I am myself getting fatter, but very slowly, so I never get shocked into doing anything much about it.

You seem to have a lot of outside space, so, BBQ? Everyone likes a good BBQ.

It is not SAP, but we are apparently moving to SAP sometime in the nebulous future, god help us. No, we have Oracle for purchase orders, and Concur for corporate cards and employee expenses. Both are crap and to be fair it's not actually the system's fault for this stress - it's just restricted access to cost centres based on location and the hell that is Finance's labyrinthine rules and contact systems.

Yeah, I don't mind being rounder, I mind that my weight and BMI is what the doctor will focus on when I want to get any help for my health issues. It's why I keep putting off asking for a new diagnosis; because previously I just get told losing weight would solve everything.

G doesn't want the hassle of doing a bbq - worries he'll get stuck cooking all afternoon. And next door has a thatched roof and a healthy paranoia about bbqs... tbh, just a head count at this point would be helpful >_>

I expect they're all awful in one way or another but I have to use SAP about twice a year, which is just the right amount of time to forget how to use it. Takes me about half a day to raise a PO.

Yeah, I hadn't thought about that... I'm sure it's true, that carrying extra weight doesn't help, but it's not like there isn't still a condition underneath ¬_¬

Well if there's going to be 10-12 of you then someone is going to be stuck doing a lot of cooking. You can hand over control of a BBQ to your guests in way that you cant with a complex meal... but *shrugs* I dunno, I'm sure you'll think of something.
