YAY!!!!! Movies FTW and other awesome things

So today I did not get much done in the way of what I had planned to do.  I did not get any extra grades in the great book, I sadly did not get any work done on the new fic I'm supposed to be beta'ing for a new Conby author (sorry, sorry, sorry), but I have good news.

Random ramblings behind the cut... )

That is excellent news about your Papa! You have "bonus" time with him that you never thought you'd have (hugs)

I'm not a movie fan really, I tend to just get stuff on DVD if I'm interested enough. My step-mum watched "The Kings Speech" on the flight home from Miami on Friday and said she enjoyed it

It's been really cool. We redid his bedroom for him and they (my extended family that lives with him *grumbles about an excess of moochers*) remodeled his downstairs bathroom also.

I LOVE movies, but I don't get to go to many of them right now since the school year is so disgustingly busy. Both of those movies were great. I also got to see Burlesque. It was pretty cool too, but Beastly and King's Speech were my faves, hands down. :-)

That's great news about your grandfather! You get to cherish each day you have with him now. :)

I loved the King's Speech too. Colin Firth was AMAZING!!

We really have. I couldn't hardly believe it when he started talking. It was so cool. He scared the crap out of a few nurses who hadn't realized he had woken up. Really funny. Even his neurologist was like, "All I can say is I am not God."

Yes, Colin Firth was absolutely amazing. It makes me want to go watch the version of Pride and Prejudice with him in it. I've never seen that one, but I've heard it's good. I'm just hugely loyal to the Keira Knightly version. :-)

Beastly was fantastic. Really cool retelling of the story. NPH was fantastic as always. :-)

I really enjoyed the King's Speech. As a history teacher, it was ridiculously inspiring. I had no idea he had a stuttering problem. Excellent film.

Thanks. It's been a long road to recovery, and he's not done yet, but it's a lot of progress. He's doing great though, all things considering.
