My Favorite Authors Meme: PrehistoricCat

Jan 20, 2011 23:15

The idea behind a meme is that you copy the questions and post your own answers to your journal. My friend prehistoriccat is in a bit of a fic slump, so we thought it would be nice to tell her why we love her so much and why she's one of our favorite authors. :-) By all means, feel free to join in if you know and love prehistoriccat's fics!  Thanks to casy_dee and evenstar_estel  for posting ( Read more... )

Thank you so much, I'm truly blessed to have such lovely friends. It's interesting reading what and why people like certain fics. I've got plot bunnies breeding but I can't get them down the way I want. :(

Who's next then? This is a really lovely exercise.

(oh, and how bizarre we've both got the same Tolkien quote on our page! All that is gold does not glitter..)

You are so welcome. I totally know the feeling, so don't worry. It'll eventually come back to you, I'm sure of it. You are such a talented writer. :-) (Oh, and thanks for my icon. I love it. Hehehehe.)

Don't know what's next. We'll have to see.

I LOVE Tolkien and I went a little overboard with the quote fixture on my page once I figured out how to do it. LOL! Thanks for noticing though, no one's given me any feedback on my quotes.

I noticed your quotes a few days ago and sort of pinched the idea... i remembered you had some Tolkien ones but as to which ones I wasn't sure. I've got a few story quotes, some from writers and a few other things I like (I'm trying to think of a suitable Connor one as I've got a Hatter one there)

What about where he says he always wanted to be part of a crime busting gang. That always makes me laugh. It's so him too. He has sooooo many good quotes.

I wanted my quotes to reflect my worldview. I wanted ones that have very deep meanings and significance to me. Like the one i have a tattoo of and the one I want on my grave when I die. I feel they reflect fairly accurately who I am, or at least, the kind of person I really want to be.

Great choices. I had a really hard time narrowing things down, too. I personally loved "The Blog" SOOO much that it almost made the list. I'm also a giant fan of "The Award" and that's probably my #3 after Bloodlines and David. Hee! This was FUN!

Thanks. I had so many more I wanted to talk about, but I was already going crazy with my choices. I think if I were to put them in order, it would be Bloodlines, Couvade Syndrome, and then maybe the Award. I don't know, it's so hard to decide among so many great fics. It has been fun, we should do this more often with each other. :-D

Oh, and I forgot to mention Mirror Image which I think the two of you should conspire on to write a sequel. Hehehehehe
