MY ACTIVITY WAS SO GOOD THIS MONTH and theeeeeeeeeeen rl got weird. For all tags that have been left hanging (Fourth Wall and otherwise) I am going to work through those this week, with some shadiness while I try to navigate zombie!Jesus weekend with my cray-cray family.
and because I haven't done it in a while, have some HMD free music. ♥!
NGL. A big factor in my deciding to join Taxon was your Sookie! I had tagged around with her in d-m before and I thought she was great. And I STILL think she is great. I love having Jason thread with her. Either bickering or getting along it is just so natural to vibe with you while playing Stackhouses. Sookie is also a character who in the wrong hands could come across as annoying - especially after the season 3 clusterfuck. You do the exact opposite and make her compelling and charming while still retaining all her faults

WHAT CAN I SAY THAT HASN'T ALREADY BEEN SAID? you do such a wonderful job with him and making sure he's not completely unscathed but not a wounded bird, either. the only thing i could want is for him to get out for and make more tablet-y posts for people to respond to.

CAINNNNN. I HAVE ONLY PLAYED WITH HIM A LITTLE BIT BUT ZOMG. Right on-target characterization-wise, and I cannot convey the sheer amount of luff I have for the fact that you have him as a kiddo at all. Not exactly the easiest of muses to play, I would guess, but you do a LOVELY job of it from what I've seen. I look forward to continuing the meeting of the Gruff Crime Fighters of Misanthropy Club when you can! (I swear I had a more catchy name for them before, but I can't remember what it is now)
Okay well first off, you know how much I adore your Lex in a general sense. But to be specific, I really like how you balance caution with curiosity in him, and I'm looking forward to MORE LEX. Especially plotty shenanigans. ♥
Also BLEH, I left out half of what I wanted to say about Lex (ffff brainmush), but BASICALLY. Although I haven't had much contact with him in Taxon I know your Lex very well from museboxes and I can say that he is amazing. He's smart and ambitious but he's also vulnerable too, and you really show how he's a good man put on a bad path. I look forward to seeing you bring out all the subtle layers here in Taxon.
Dan is lovely, I think you have his mild awkwardness and his just basic "nice guy" thing down really well, but he isn't just that, you give him nuances that suggest more. I'd love to see him do something badass in Taxon sometime, to show that side of him. And I adore his interactions with Rorschach especially

I'm largely unfamiliar with Watchmen outside of what googlefu tells me, so I can't comment on Dan. I can, however, comment on your other two. It's been a long time since I watched Smallville, especially the earlier seasons, but I think you've got a great grasp on his voice. And Jason, oh man your Jason. He continues to amaze me with how much you pay attention to Jason's core - how he aims to do good, cares deeply for his family, etc. - while not ignoring his more derpy traits without letting that drown out the other elements of his characterization. I absolutely love your take on him.
I'm going to skip over Lex, since I'm familiar with the character only in the broadest sense. (Well, and I know HE'S NOT TO BE ALLOWED NEAR CAKES.)
As you're aware, I don't know Jason's canon, but I love how effortlessly you convey how good-natured he is--he may not be a hero in the dramatic, must-save-everyone way, but his eagerness to help people (even if it's just by setting them at ease) comes across in all his tags. I don't really have much in the way of crit--you've done a good job of having him interact with a variety of people, which is nice because you can explore sides of his personality other than "doofus." And I love that he and Loki are rooming together! I think that's just perfect. Oh, and thumbs up on not equating "not the brightest bulb in the box" with "entirely devoid of common sense."
Daaaaaaan--he's still pretty new, but I like what I've seen and I look forward to reading more from our burgeoning Watchmen cast. The one thing I'd like to see is him starting to take notice of or put together all the alternate

I know nothing about Don's canon, but I'm starting to feel like I need to fix this, and that right there should say a lot about how interesting you make him. I like his sort of dry resignation toward everything he does, and you can almost feel a kind of weariness in him. I especially adore his interactions with Mattie, how he sort of reluctantly has taken on the role of 'present adult' in her life.
So much props, yo. I know firsthand how hard it is to play a Mad Men character and you do it really well. I imagine it would be an extra challenge with someone like Don who isn't exactly chatty. I love how you are willing to tag into threads even when he wouldn't be, yet still keep it ic. One thing I would watch out for is because of how Don is to be mindful of how the narration comes across. I know you and I know Don but from an outside perspective it might be difficult to see the divide between writer and character. I also hope we get to see some DON DOING BUSINESS SOON because I think finding someone's talent while so far out of their element is neato.
Also Jason wants to know Don's thoughts on vampires!
SOMEDAY I WILL WATCH MORE THAN FIVE MINUTES OF MAD MEN.
I like Don's hair and how his name sounds like Dawn no okay. Actual things to say that aren't mindless flailing.
I think for me, the thing I really really admire from stalking your Don is how believable his reactions are. He's not from a canon with ~supernatural themes~ and he's also from the fifties, so Taxon is a mindfuck on every level. I love how you've rolled with that and kept Don's reactions IC, to very very different and challenging circumstances.
I don't know anything about his canon, but I will pounce on his threads because they're so funny (your narration is priceless) and his attitude is so terrible (I mean this as a compliment). I DEMAND MORE.
I LOVE YOU LOTS AND YOU SHOULD KNOW THIS ALWAYS. /CARVES IT INTO YOUR BRAIN
Narvin is a joy! Even if I don't tag him I totally stalk him. The thing is that I usually don't know what my characters would say to him if they were to interact. I would suggest posting something that might be a little more open for comments so your fangirls like me and Carolyn can tag dat. What that would be, I'm not sure, BUT I NEED MOAR ALICE IN MY LIFE ALWAYS.
