Godric recognized Cassie's voice on the tablet, but what brought him up short was what she actually said, and the way she said it. Cassie had told him about what had happened with her mother, so the request was disturbing at best. He brought out his tablet and turned on his visual function.

"Cassie? What's wrong?"

Cassie heard a voice and what frightened her more than anything, aside from her whole being in a place that wasn't her hometown thing, was that this person knew her name. She turned in a quick circle, wondering where the voice originated from.

"Hello? I-I don't know where I am or how I got here." It probably wasn't a good idea to talk to this person...wherever they were.

Something froze inside Godric, and it took a few moments for him to respond. When he did, his voice was perceptively tighter than it had been before.

"Look at your tablet. The thing in your hand."

Cassie sniffled, lifting one hand to her cheek to wipe away the tears that had spilled free of her eyelids. The other lifted the strange cell phone thing and sure enough, on the screen was a young man, probably around her age.

"Can you tell me where I am? Or...or how I got here?" Or how you know my name? The last question was silent, but Cassie needed to prioritize. Where she is. How she got here. How she can get home.

"What is it now."

Of course Eric wasn't being helpful, was anyone really expecting otherwise. But at least he was actually talking to Cassie, which was more than the last time she got in trouble. Baby steps - at this rate, he'll be decent in another thousand years

Where were all these voices coming from? Cassie spun around again, eyes darting every which way. But still, she couldn't see anyone.

"I need help. I wasn't here a minute ago. Is this even Wisconsin? How did I get here?" Cassie's voice cracked a little in her panic as a few errant tears slipped down her cheeks. "Please," Cassie whispered, exhaling brokenly.

"The tablet, Cassie. Don't tell me you've gone and bumped your head that hard." Eric rolled his eyes, scoffing at the small hologram spinning on his own tablet. "Of course this isn't Wisconsin. Stop acting like an idiot, I'm in no mood for it."

He didn't much note the crying. Hell, it seemed like Cass ended up crying a lot lately so no big deal.

Another person that said her name. Cassie looked down at the cell phone in her hands and frowned. "How do you know my name? And I'm not an idiot. You try being in one place one minute, then in a completely different location, wearing clothes that aren't yours the next. Then you get back to me on how well you're adjusting."

Cassie lifted her hand to wipe at the tears, crossing over to the sidewalk. She didn't know how many cars were in this freaky and unusual place, but she didn't want to get run over.

"I...I think so. I'm in the middle of the street, wearing clothing that isn't mine," Cassie said, making a face down at her appearance. Seriously. She would not be caught dead in this.
