Well, that had gone well. Cassie exited the nest, not crying as much or as often anymore, but definitely down in the dumps. He glanced around and caught sight of a fairly familiar form. She was pretty much the only person he'd interacted with at length since he'd arrived. And he worried about her recovery. Both of these things might have been why he approached. A rock came rolling towards him from her direction, which he stopped with one foot.
"Bad day?" He guessed.

"One of my friends left today," Cassie said softly, giving him her version of the puppy eyes. "Sometimes people disappear and this time it was someone I care about."

"I'm sorry." He said simply, reaching out and lightly touching her arm. He wasn't very good at this, or at least, hadn't been in the past. "Is there anything I can do to help?"
