Jack had actually wandered off to... well, somewhere. The SGC makes him restless. Even if it's not really real, it makes him feel like he should be doing something. He is somewhere still kinda in the SGC, somewhere.

Daniel knew Jack got restless, but also that he'd not leave for long.

Sookie is currently standing at the helm of her bar, (it's not technically hers, but details) surveying the tables and customers. She glances down at her tablet when Daniel's question pops up, and helpful citizen that she is, decides to answer.

"Hi there. I might well've done- what does she look like?"

Daniel gave a polite smile and nod at the unfamiliar face before his expression shifted to that almost-frown that showed he was thinking. It was more thoughts of how not to offend the woman if she did happen to be a friend of Vala than what she looked like.

"Hello. Well..She has long black hair, blue eyes. She's probably wearing dark clothes."

"Okaaay, hold on just a sec." She did remember seeing a woman matching that general description in the bar not long ago, and her eyes scanned the interior until they fell upon the woman in question, sitting at a booth.

"I think she might be here, at Merlotte's, in Osten. She's real pretty, right?" What? That's a question that would help her narrow it down a little. "I'd be happy to pass on a message, if you like."

"Yeah, she is." Daniel blinked, what just made him say that? He just knew that would come back and bite him. Do not blush. Do not blush.

"Uh..no, just wanted to know where she was. Thank you." He had to doubt Vala would answer a message he'd left with someone else, if she'd not responded to the ones he'd left himself.

Taxon would never be the same if Vala was out on the loose. Not that she was chained, mind you. Just the fact that she was devious and a con artist and could probably get the Extras to do her bidding.

"It's Vala. She disappears somehow without warning." Daniel responded, a bit defensive. "The point is, she's supposed to have stuck around the SGC until a certain problem has been fixed. She's not here any more."

Daniel blinked, a bit taken back by that. "..I don't think she's broken anything, not that I've seen.." He quirked a quick smile, yeah, Cam would be among those who broke something without even trying.

"She..found a pair of artifacts and attached them to the two of us. While it no longer seems to be affecting her, I am still affected." Putting it lightly, Daniel, putting it lightly.
