Sookie is currently standing at the helm of her bar, (it's not technically hers, but details) surveying the tables and customers. She glances down at her tablet when Daniel's question pops up, and helpful citizen that she is, decides to answer.

"Hi there. I might well've done- what does she look like?"

Daniel gave a polite smile and nod at the unfamiliar face before his expression shifted to that almost-frown that showed he was thinking. It was more thoughts of how not to offend the woman if she did happen to be a friend of Vala than what she looked like.

"Hello. Well..She has long black hair, blue eyes. She's probably wearing dark clothes."

"Okaaay, hold on just a sec." She did remember seeing a woman matching that general description in the bar not long ago, and her eyes scanned the interior until they fell upon the woman in question, sitting at a booth.

"I think she might be here, at Merlotte's, in Osten. She's real pretty, right?" What? That's a question that would help her narrow it down a little. "I'd be happy to pass on a message, if you like."

"Yeah, she is." Daniel blinked, what just made him say that? He just knew that would come back and bite him. Do not blush. Do not blush.

"Uh..no, just wanted to know where she was. Thank you." He had to doubt Vala would answer a message he'd left with someone else, if she'd not responded to the ones he'd left himself.

If Daniel was blushing, Sookie tactfully pretended not to notice and offered a friendly smile, instead.

"Not a problem at all." She glanced over at Vala again, before adding. "You should come on down yourself, drinks are on the house twenty-four-seven. We got the best burgers in Taxon and... it was Vala, right? She's sittin' all by herself, and that's not right."

Bubbly waitress sales pitch? You betcha.

Daniel appreciated that Sookie didn't mention his blush, at least not to him, and gave a hesitant and quick smile in return.

"I would, but I'm kinda..tied up at the moment." Fortunately not literally, though if he did try to leave, who knew what would be done to him?

But he would definitely tell Jack where Vala was.

"Oh, nevermind then." Her smile didn't falter, and she shrugged a casual sort of shrug. "You make sure you come for a drink here sometime though." Seriously, she could use some clients that aren't those godawful boring Extras.

...she might still walk over to Vala and tell her her friend was asking for her though, because she's incorrigible like that.

Daniel nodded a little. "Sure, when I can."

It was probably good that he wasn't aware what Sookie was likely to walk over and tell Vala he'd been asking about her.
