I watched Ghost Whisperer again tonight, and cried through the ending. It's a pretty good bet that if you're the crying type like me, a show where the basic goal of every ep is to assist the dead person in becoming non-earthbound is virtually guaranteed to elicit tears, lol. But they closed on a shot of Melinda and her hubby and I just thought,

And I think about obsession like that a lot too, especially on LJ which is so multi-fannish. It seems like there's some kind of weird alchemy that happens between person and fannish object that goes crackle, pop, boom and you have obsesso person.
Most of the time when someone leaves me FB or replies to a comment that I make on LJ I go and check out their info page and see where we overlap and don't.
All the same, I have noticed some distinct trends in my flist that make me smile. i.e. I'm pretty sure that the most oft cited interests are something like Spike, Roswell, feminism, books and Jon Stewart. You find the connection, lol.

It's so true, and in some ways, seems so very random lol. Like, I heard Good Riddance on the radio today and got that tingle like when you hear Ros music. The song's been out for eight years and I've heard it a million times; it didn't used to elicit that reaction, even though I've always loved it. But now that I've jumped into obsession, it sounds different. LOL. *shakes head at self*
My flist doesn't really tell me anything new - everyone on it was already a friend!

And I won't strong arm you into watching Prison Break like I have every other person we both know. LOL But it IS good. And it IS worth it. And I'm pretty sure it'll get a 2nd season if it makes you feel any better. I've come to the conclusion that all shows get cancelled and very rarely do they decide to bow out all by themselves. You just have to enjoy them while they're here. And Tas...Wentworth Miller? Would get you all gooey. Or Dominic Purcell...usually people are one or the other.
But I'm not trying to temp you or anything.

If you're very, very lucky, it will come in the guise of Wentworth Miller and his astoundingly beautiful hands.
