To the Canadians and more northerly Americans, that would mean that the roads are being sanded. :D I'm kind of amused that this is apparently worth announcing on status signs along the motorway. My experience tends to be more on the, "Hey, it's icy. Where the hell are the salt trucks?" side

Oh, that's b/c I didn't reply to anyone's "want a card?" posts, due to not being able to send them out myself this year what with most of it being double the postage, and not wanting to force people to send stuff internationally. But I will happily provide it.
