Dera's thoughts on the most recent thread with Ikki and Dera's thoughts on Mieu? |D

MIEU FIRST.

Mieu is. Odd. When he talks he sort've swings between being sorta annoying or sorta tolerable for Dera. If he were anything other than a cute mascot animal, Dera would abuse him as usual 90% of the time. But he IS a cute mascot animal, and Dera really does have something of a soft spot for animals. And he can realize that Mieu is making an ATTEMPT at not annoying him most of the time, and he does appreciate that. Also he's Luke's . . . thing. Which earns him a bunch of bonus points on Dera's scale of 'how much I want to kill you'. All that together makes Mieu tolerable enough for Dera to go out of his way to look out for him and carry him around. But he'll never admit to liking the little guy. :| IT IS JUST. LUKE'S THING. THAT I LOOK OUT FOR.

AND NOW THAT THREAD. Let me go pull it up and go through the thought process since it's easier for me that way.

OKAY SO. As of the beginning of that thread, Dera had actually managed to work himself up into a state where he was prepared to deal with Ikki on terms of his choosing. Those terms happened to be a B-Class parts war because of the thread where Zexion suggested it and Reborn decided it for everyone. You don't argue with Reborn. But basically he was okay with doing this, he just also wanted to wait until then so he wouldn't have to deal with Ikki being a moron.

Cue Ikki showing up to be a moron. He was actually mostly okay with this up until about here. Dumbtarded fighting is fine; there wasn't any real threat of 'I am doing what I want because I'm Ikki and don't care what you think' up till then. That comment was what started setting him on edge since he knows Ikki well enough to predict what's coming, and he didn't want to deal with it at all right then. >( Ikki did not take the hints! And then started doing dumb things

AND THEN. THEN IKKI BRINGS RESPECT INTO IT. And respect is -- it isn't something you can demand from Dera. Even if Ikki says he didn't care whether Dera respected him or not, getting so angry over the disrespect was enough to jam that button on him. Y-you can't be someone other than a select handful of people and say that to Dera without making him flip out. He meant it very seriously when he said any disrespect he gave Ikki was deserved. In his mind, it was! Ikki fucked up, Dera let him know in his own way. This should make sense! And fuck Ikki if it doesn't. 8

Dera has found this picture of him posted on the internet. What is his reaction and what does he do?

W-what. His initial reaction is to wonder when the hell he was drugged and who did it. Maybe it was Shamal -- but then he remember's Shamal's straight. And that he doesn't actually know any girls who would do that. So then he decides it must have been AEON. Before he goes to confront Aeon he reads up a bit on computer hacking and cracking and DESTROYS THE WEBSITE THE PICTURE CAME FROM.

Then he goes to confront Aeon and gets raped. Repeats! After this he gets smart and convinces Ikki to help somehow. Maybe he gets him to force Kazu into distracting Aeon so they can both sneak attack him. They probably all end up raped anyway. :(

Might as well ask since I'm already over here: Dera's impression of Mikage?

Mikage is sorta interesting! He started off as just some background sort of guy. Very non-threatening, but there wasn't really anything that made him stand out to Dera either. But then he showed off that crazy rune stuff at the cave expansion and that caught Dera's interest! It's still . . . mostly a neutral impression he's got, but now that he's noticed this ability it's shifting towards something a little more positive. Mikage can BREAK ROCKS with this stuff, but he's managed never to ping Dera's threat senses. Which is a pretty big thing considering that noticing that ability moved Mikage from citizen to fighter in Dera's mind, and other fighters are most often viewed with strict suspicion. And breaking rocks alludes to a pretty strong technique.

BASICALLY Dera sees Mikage as a nonthreat who is a fairly decent guy. Interested in knowing a little more about him and the extent of his ability, but doesn't have any real interest in getting close to him. It's just curiosity right now.
