lisa what kinda color do you use on your hair?? It is so vibrant and red, I recently bleached my husbands hair and put red on and it turns vibrant then is orange in a week and a half and I am using wella permanent hair color, some one told Paul Mitchell has a great color that you can actually put the foils in and then Hot Iron it in, but I didnt see it at Cosmoprof the other day, SO I was wondering what you use?? thanks for the advice

it's bleached and the color on the top is special effects cherry bomb. this particular color fades more pink than anything, but all of their reds are awesome. nuclear red is a nice bright one that doesn't fade pink. permanent reds don't take very well over hair that is bleached to blonde, it's too light and needs a base. all reds do fade relatively quickly, it's the hardest color to keep. i've had mine for about a month now and it's just now starting to look faded, but still not bad. i'd definitely recommend using special effects rather than any permanent color. it's basically a stain so when it fades you can use it again without worrying about it damaging the hair. permanent color is meant to lighten as well, so it's really just damaging the hair more than it needs to. to keep the color lasting longer he needs to use shampoo/conditioner that says on it that it's meant for colored hair, try to not wash his hair too often, and wash it in cool water rather than hot
